Tented Adventure 1 - Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara

Experience the magic of the pink Lake Nakuru in the heart of the rift Valley. To finally en up in the majestic Masai Mara with its open savannan, tremendous amount of game and the living culture of the Purko Masai.

Day 1 - Driver guide will come and pick you from airport or town hotel and drive down into the Great Rift Valley will start. The drive is fairly long but very scenic and you may stop to inspect the local markets and wood working kiosks if you wish. Arrive at the Special Camp site on the Delemere Estate in time for a late lunch. After camp is up and lunch in the stomach take a game walk in this privately owned Congreve conservancy in the afternoon then return to the cottages for dinner and overnight. A night game drive is also possible here to try to spot the Aardvark who you can find in the area at night.

Day 2 – Spend a full day inside the Nakuru National Park game driving. This park is famous for its birds, leopard, lion and rhino. Return to the private camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Drive to the Masai Mara and and set up camp in the area that is bets for the season . Game drive after lunch and enjoy the wonderful wildlife. Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 4 - 5 For these two days you will get to explore the Mara area. You may take game walks in the areas outside the Reserve itself, game drive in the Reserve and on the conservation areas and group ranches that surround the reserve and here you’ll also have he opportunity to visit local villages and local schools for a cultural immersion into this, probably the most famous of Kenya’s tribes.

With the help of your driver/guide, you may set the pace to suit you. Suggestion would be spending one full day with the Masai and then return again if you choose. Then spend the rest of the time game driving or taking walks as you wish. All meals and overnight at the bush camp Masai mara.

Day 6 After Breakfast morning drive or walk. Drive or fly back to Nairobi or fly directly to Lamu or Malindi/Watamu.

This itinerary can be extended with as many extra nights in the Masai Mara as you wish.
