Lake
Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru is a soda lake situated in the Great Rift Valley. The
national park is relativly small, it consist of Lake Nakuru and
it´s surroundings. This world famous park was created to
protect, with fence to avoid pochers, its stunning flocks of
flamingo, which literally turn the lakeshore pink in colour.
Millions of flamingos are gathering around the lake. Notable
game within the lake area is hippo and the diverse bird life.
And this is your chance to see rhinos while you are in Kenya.
Both black and white rhino reside in the sanctuary. Rothschild
giraffe, buffalo, impala, eland, warthog, mountain reedbuck,
klipspringers and black and white Colobus monkeys are all plentiful.
It´s also possible to see leopard, but no elephants. This
park is world-renowned as a beacon for ornithologists, scientists
and wildlife filmmakers.

Mbweha Camp
Location
Mbweha Camp is situated on Congreve conservancy bordering Lake
Nakuru National park. Mbweha Camp has 9 tastefully decorated cottages
with large private verandas. Mbweha camp fills a space in the tourist
market between the exclusive private safaris camp and the larger
hotels accommodation for the Lake Nakuru Areas.
Accomodation
Mbweha has 9 cottages. These cottages are made of local material;
thatch roofs with natural lava rock walls and comprise a circular,
roomy sleeping area with unsuited shower, and private veranda.
Though the cottages are simply designed they are comfortable and
tastefully furnished with 12 volt solar lighting and are all private
and completely separate from the campsite area.
